This is a custom bolt made from hot roll steel rod with OD14.9mm by hot forging. Hot forging ensures superior mechanical properties compared to cold-formed or cast bolts, ideal for heavy-duty fastening. This combination of hot forging and galvanization makes the bolt a robust, customizable solution for demanding fastening needs.
This part is made of hot roll steel rod, the parts are stamped and cut by length. It decreases the material cost by using the bar stock.
Then go to hot forging. The steel rod is heated to high temperatures to soften the material, then shaped into the bolt's hex form using dies under extreme pressure. This process enhances the steel's grain structure, improving tensile strength and durability, making it suitable for high-load applications.
One-step hot forging to form both the bolt head and hex socket in a single process.
Next the bolt were sent to be turned the end, the thread length of the tail section will be machined by the lathe.
Here is the photo after CNC turining:
The end of the component features a threaded section, which requires thread rolling for precision formation.
Galvanizing treatment is required to enhance corrosion resistance.
Once the production of the products is fully completed, we immediately conduct inspection. This process involves thorough checks on key parameters such as dimensional accuracy, surface finish, functional performance, and compliance with specified standards.
After passing the inspection, the qualified products proceed to the packaging stage. They are carefully packed using bubble bag and put into cartons and palletized.
