This is a project we are working recently- Die casting aluminum plate. It is made from 6061 aluminum material by die casting process.
Aluminum alloy has a density of about 2.7g/cm³, significantly lower than steel. Using it to create side table components such as brackets, table top, and bases significantly reduces the overall weight while maintaining structural strength. It can be easily pushed or carried, making it ideal for use in various environments, such as the living room, bedroom, and balcony.
A dense oxide film naturally forms on the surface of aluminum alloy. This film effectively isolates air, moisture, and stains from daily use, preventing rust and corrosion.
No additional rust-proofing treatments such as galvanizing or painting are required, ensuring a clean appearance even after long-term use, reducing maintenance costs.
Aluminum alloy parts are stable and durable, preventing structural loosening caused by corrosion.
The 6061 aluminum is heat-treated to impart excellent tensile strength (approximately 200-300 MPa) and yield strength, ensuring it meets the daily load-bearing requirements of a side table. The table leg brackets remain stable, even when used with items such as books, desk lamps, and tea sets.

Die casting depends on the core principle of "molten metal filling the mold cavity at high pressure and speed" to achieve rapid part prototyping, making it one of the optimal solutions for mass production. Each die casting cycle is short, and production lines can be integrated with automated feeding, removal, and trimming equipment, resulting in high production efficiency.
Die casting molds need to undergo high-precision machining, enabling cavity dimensional tolerances to within ±0.05mm. This allows for direct molding of components with precise dimensions and a smooth surface.
The molten metal solidifies rapidly under high pressure, resulting in dense components. After cooling, the components shrink uniformly, ensuring high consistency in critical dimensions. This allows for minimal batch-to-batch variation during mass production, eliminating the need for individual component adjustments and assembly.
The surface roughness of the castings can reach 1.6-6.3μm, approaching machined finishes. No additional grinding or polishing is required to meet appearance or assembly requirements, reducing the time and cost of subsequent processes.
Die casting is a near-net-shape process. 100% of the waste generated during the production process can be recycled and remelted, resulting in material utilization rates far exceeding those of traditional processes. Castings achieve a high yield, with waste typically accounting for only 5%-15%.
Common die casting materials, such as aluminum alloys and zinc alloys, have stable compositions when recycled and remelted, eliminating the need for complex purification. The properties of recycled materials are similar to those of virgin materials, allowing them to be used directly in production, further reducing raw material procurement costs.
