All our die casting legs are used in outer door furniture.
Usually it includes dinning legs, like front left leg, dinning front right leg, dinning back left and dinning back right leg, as well as sofa legs, like sofa front left leg , sofa front right leg and sofa back leg.
Our furniture parts are specifically designed for outdoor use. This chair model stands out with its high-end positioning, as it combines premium materials with robust durability, capable of bearing heavy loads while ensuring a long service life.
Although the aluminum construction comes with a higher cost compared to iron, its lightweight nature offers practical advantages, and the material's excellent recyclability makes it an eco-friendly choice that aligns with sustainable practices.
All the legs are made from aluminum die casting alloy ADC12.
The leg is pretty long in about 800mm and OD in around 20-30mm, so each of legs are mainly in 3-4 kgs.
So its mold is pretty big and high expensive cost .
To work prototypes is always a good solution to avoid or reduce risk before molding.
We work these aluminum legs from aluminum billet directly by 4 axis CNC machine, see pictures below.
After prototypes confirmed by customer, it is time to go ahead the die casting mold, 1-1 cavity as the long legs.
1. First, use CAD software to create 3D models of the mold, including the cavity, core, gating system, and cooling channels.
2. Then choose the high-strength tool steels and CNC machining to shape the mold base, cavity, and core, leaving allowances for finishing.
3. After that, wire EDM for precise cutting of inserts and cores with tight tolerances.
4. Grinding and polishing are necessary to achieve smooth surfaces for defect-free castings.
5.Quench and temper the mold components to enhance hardness and wear resistance

The big die casting mold required big die casting machine, so they are worked by 800ton die casting machine.
Following the die casting of the legs, the parts undergo deburring and surface vibration treatment to eliminate imperfections. Threads and holes are then precision-drilled to specifications. Surface finishing is tailored to customer requirements, with polishing being a particularly popular option for achieving a smooth, refined appearance.
We use bubble wrap for packaging to protect the surface from scratches. This cushioning material forms a protective layer that absorbs shocks and prevents direct contact between the product and external objects, ensuring the surface remains intact during transportation and storage. Outside is a wooden case to avoid the bump during shipment.
