Custom Adjustable Stool Seat Component

The upper part is supported by force and the lower part can be adjusted in height. The overall color is black, but it can also be adjusted to other colors. These  adjustable stool seat typically uses a gas lift cylinder or threaded stem to allow users to raise or lower the seat within a specified range. Customization includes cylinder stroke length, diameter, and load capacity. Ours  is the manual threaded stem to change the seat height.

But this cannot be die-cast. It's too heavy and will also consumes a lot of materials.

The new design is approved by our client, then according to our design to make the sample.

The first edition samples are made from aluminum material by CNC machining, mass production is carried out by die casting process. There are 2 surface treatment, polishing and sandblasted. Check out from the below picture:

To increase the load-bearing capacity, a distance plate is installed under the seat of this chair. The carbon steel sheet is the material to make the plate, and sent for laser cutting and CNC machining to drill the hole on a CNC machine center. 

Then, there is a threaded bushing to support the bottom.  It's made by aluminum alloy as well. The thread is very long and deep, 150mm. We use custom aluminum tubes and profiles, deep drawn, and then drill the threads. Otherwise, if the thread is too deep, it will be difficult to work.

All the components can be assembled together with bolts, then a prototype is ready. 

Aluminum alloy thread body is powder coated. This way, the color is uniform and beautiful.
