The exhaust manifold is the core starting component of the internal combustion engine exhaust system. And it can repeatedly withstand the impact of sudden temperature rises and falls, significantly extending the service life of the exhaust manifold and avoiding exhaust gas leakage problems caused by material failure.The structure of the exhaust manifold needs to be designed as a complex shape of multiple branch pipes + main pipe + flange, based on the number of engine cylinders and the cylinder arrangement :in-line, V-shaped, horizontally opposed, and the length, angle and diameter of the branch pipes need to be precisely matched to reduce exhaust interference, which requires extremely high complex structure forming ability in the manufacturing process.
The casting process of steel precision castings is mature. It can cast complex multi-branch structures in one time, avoiding the use of welding processes. The casting accuracy is relatively high, which can precisely control the dimensional tolerance and angular deviation of the branch pipe, ensuring a precise connection with the exhaust port of the cylinder head and reducing exhaust resistance.
